in the lane, snow is glistening

it started to snow yesterday morning....

and when we got up this morning, it looked like this...

This is very unusual for October. I checked online and our record snowfall for a day in October is 6 cm, which is slightly over 2 inches. We got maybe half that...which was quite exciting enough for my boys. I had to dig out the snow boots (and if anyone can tell me what happened to the boots that ds7 wore last year, I'd certainly appreciate it) and hats and mittens so they could go out and scoop up snowballs and make miniature snowmen.

I realized last night that snow makes me happy. I like the cold weather, and I especially like the Christmas season that goes along with this time of year. I'm looking forward to the next few months.

Snow makes me happy in October. Not so much in April. :)

We haven't had any snow yet this year. I think of having a few days of snow flurries in the air as a Normal October.

Did it all melt off? It's looks beautiful and fun and *packing*!

Rosanne, It just seems like yesterday you were done with the snow and you were seeing beautful flowers blooming.  You sure have a short spring/summer. And your fall brings snow, yikes!  It's beautiful too, but too cold.  I know you are dreading a long winter.

Have you voted yet in the contest I'm in? If not, there is still time...it ends at 8:00 am Thurs. I think.  If you have more than one computer, vote on each of them.  There are only 20 votes separating us, last time I checked. Here is the link

http://www.apronqueensreviews.blogspot.com/  I hope you can vote.  And, if you don't mind, can you spread the word to others, friends, neighbors, family...I really would like to win those aprons for my family.

Thanks and hugs, Kathy

Hello Ms. Rose,
You made your site simple yet elegant with nice pictures but I see that you don’t have much to say lately!
I like to write articles on my site about Jehovah God in these troubled times: "I will cause them to know my hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is Jehovah." (Jeremiah 16:21) (YLT)
